The Product

Able is your digital platform to access the best weight care, health, and wellness experts across the globe. Able offers one-on-one health, nutrition, and wellness support at your fingertips. Get matched with your online coach to set a personalized action plan, build healthy habits, and stay motivated to achieve your health and weight goals.

The opportunity

We’re seeking a creative and results-oriented Video Ad Writer and Producer to own development and creation of video advertisements for our app. This person will take our demand generation efforts to the next level by writing and producing video ads that drive measurable revenue impact. Combining a portfolio of short-form video ads with effective communication and creativity, this person will lead all copy and creative elements from ideation and scripting to editing and optimization across English-speaking markets (US, CA, AU, UK, etc.).

What you’ll do

  • Leverage messaging frameworks aligned to three of our prospects’ main pain points to create three sets of ad video scripts
  • Create alternate lengths and formats of video ad scripts for each advertising platform
  • Generate slides or wireframes of the animations or video to accompany the video ad scripts
  • Research and contract agencies and contractors to complete animations and videography for the scripts developed
  • Partner with the Creative Team and external agencies to oversee production of the video ads
  • Work with the User Acquisition Team–particularly our Paid Media and SEM leads–to deploy video ads in the AB testing framework aligned to customer pain points and the corresponding app value propositions
  • Edit scripts and oversee production edits to video ads that require adjustments to meet platform requirements or that are performing well in order to maximize ROAS
  • Return to the drawing board to develop and produce ads to replace those that don’t perform well and to combat ad fatigue on a regular basis
  • Partner with broader Marketing Team to incorporate ad videos where appropriate into the app’s onboarding journey and webpages
  • Partner with the Project Manager to ensure execution of landing pages for ad videos as needed
  • Proactively recommend new ad videos according to learnings from recent video performance.
  • Use a mindset of experimentation to quickly test and advance from one new ad messaging framework set to another to serve our unique business needs

About you

  • 2+ years of ad video writing and production experience at a start-up or a tech company offering apps to consumers
  • 1+ years experience managing a creative contractor or working within a creative agency
  • Portfolio of written and video material in the D2C space
  • Native English fluency
  • Deep knowledge of ad types and short-form videos found on various ad platforms
  • Proven track record of establishing and scaling a video ad program that directly drives high volume of product conversions
  • You are a great storyteller and communicator who can build relationships with a diverse set of internal/external stakeholders
  • You possess enthusiasm, creativity, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a growth-mindset

Employment
